The cast of multi award winning drama Broadchurch attended the read-through for the second series of the drama earlier today in London.

Pictured for the first time are returning cast David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill and some of the actors who are joining the drama for series two including Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Eve Myles and James D’Arcy.

Details of the new characters and storylines for the second series won’t be revealed during filming as the cast and crew remain tight lipped about how the drama develops.

Filming of the new series will be underway later this month in Dorset and North Somerset and creator and writer Chris Chibnall has appealed to the media and members of the public who might observe filming to help keep the secrets of Broadchurch.

Broadchurch will be executive produced by Chris Chibnall (The Great Train Robbery, Torchwood) for Imaginary Friends and Jane Featherstone (Utopia, The Hour, Spooks) on behalf of Kudos, a Shine Group company. The Producer is Richard Stokes (Silk, Law & Order: UK) who also produced the first series. James Strong, who directed 5 episodes of the first series including episode one, will be directing episodes one and two of this new series.
