The prison gates are to close on Alcatraz island once more. It has been confirmed that the show has been cancelled after just one season.

The show struggled in the ratings Stateside, so it’s hardly surprising news.

Watch are currently airing Alcatraz in the UK with Season 1 to end in a few weeks. Unfortunately, it concludes with a massive cliffhanger that will now never be resolved.

It’s not all bad news though. News has broken that Fox have renewed Touch for a second season.

The show, starring Kiefer Sutherland, is currently airing in the UK on Sky1 and will conclude it first season next month.

According to Deadline, the show has seen a ratings rebound in the States following a “post-premiere slide”.
