Actor Russell Tovey has confirmed that he will guest star in Series 2 of Sherlock.

The actor, best known to cult fans as George in Being Human, confirmed the news on Twitter earlier today.

“Yep! I’m gonna be in BBC’s Sherlock… Official,” he said.

Tovey followed up with another tweet revealing he will be playing Henry in episode 2, The Hounds Of Baskerville, written by Mark Gatiss. A loose adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous Sherlock novel.

According to Digital Spy, Henry recruits Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman) after “suffering from a traumatic childhood experience”.
