As part of its new “Original British Drama” campaign, the BBC will be releasing a host of special feature length trailers over the next 17 days.

The Series 5 trailer for Merlin will air Friday 3 August at 8pm. Will it be the same one from San Diego Comic Con? We’ll have to wait and see.

On BBC One British audiences are set to experience the global stories of ambition, determination and courage, as well as the excitement, drama and magical moments that make the Olympics such a unique sporting event.

BBC One will launch its new Original British Drama campaign to the nation throughout this period. Over the next 17 days audiences will get a sneak preview of the brand new original British drama coming up on the channel. From Hunted, Good Cop and The Secret of Crickley Hall to Accused, Shetland and Ripper Street. Plus, Doctor Who, Merlin, The Paradise and EastEnders – keep switched on at approximately 8pm each night to see more.

From Hunted to The Paradise, Good Cop and The Secret of Crickley Hall, Shetland to Ripper Street, these new series highlight the exciting and broad range of tones, stories and worlds we want drama on BBC One to encapsulate.

Plus viewers will get an exclusive look at what’s coming up on Eastenders, Merlin Accused and Dr Who. It’s a fantastically diverse and ambitious combination of fiction coming up on BBC One in the coming months”
